Galaxy Z Fold 7 display is now 2.5x more durable!

Galaxy Z Fold 7’s foldable screen is 2.5x more durable than Fold 6!

Samsung has announced that the Galaxy Z Fold 7’s foldable display can withstand over 500,000 folds, a number officially certified by Bureau Veritas. This is 2.5 times more durable than the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which was rated for just 200,000 folds.

Despite being the thinnest model in the series, Galaxy Z Fold 7 comes with a stronger body than its predecessor, and the same goes for the screen durability.

Lasts over 10 years of daily use

Samsung Display confirms that the OLED panel passed rigorous testing and can last over 10 years under regular usage. Even for heavy users who fold their device 200 times daily, the Fold 7 is expected to last at least 6 years without issues.

This durability comes from a 50% thicker Ultra Thin Glass (UTG) layer and a new high-elastic adhesive that bonds the UTG to the OLED panel. Additionally, it uses a new structure to evenly distribute shock and is built on a titanium-strengthened base.

Certified by independent authority

Unlike some Chinese brands that rely on in-house tests, Samsung’s results are verified by a third-party organization. Bureau Veritas conducted the durability test over 13 days at 25°C, making Fold 7 one of the most reliable foldables on the market.
