The global launch date of the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra has been officially confirmed

Xiaomi has officially announced the date of its next global launch event. The presentation will take place on February 28 in Barcelona, ahead of Mobile World Congress (MWC), starting at 2 PM local time. This confirms the accuracy of recent rumors regarding the event’s timing.

According to the company’s announcement on X, the event will carry the tagline “The New Wave of Imagery is arriving,” clearly highlighting a strong focus on next-generation camera technology. This strongly suggests that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra will make its global debut during the event.

Reports indicate that the standard Xiaomi 17 will also be introduced to international markets alongside the Ultra model. In addition, Xiaomi is expected to unveil other products globally, including the Xiaomi Pad 8 Pro, Xiaomi Tag, and Xiaomi Watch 5. However, there is currently no official information regarding a global release for the Xiaomi 17 Pro and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, which are likely to remain exclusive to the Chinese market.

According to recent leaks, the Xiaomi 17 and Xiaomi 17 Ultra will retain the same pricing as their predecessors in Europe. The global variants are expected to be nearly identical to their Chinese counterparts, with the primary difference being battery capacity: 6,330 mAh for the Xiaomi 17 (compared to 7,000 mAh in China) and 6,000 mAh for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra (compared to 6,800 mAh in China).
